What to expect when placing an order with AdaptedDesign

Packaging

  • Typically 3D printed items regardless of size will be shipping in a cardboard box to ensure that no damage occurs to the item during transport.
  • Book orders will be shipped in a cardboard mailer or a cardboard box when combined with other items or with multiple copies of a book.
  • All other items are typically shipped in cardboard boxes
  • On rare occassions a bubble mailer or plastic will be used to package items
  • Please reuse or recycle your cardbaord boxes from AdaptedDesign

Fulfillment

  • Orders are typically fulfilled within 1 to 2 business days and are picked up by the shipping partner on the following business day.
  • If there are any issues completing your order I will reach out to you promptly.
  • Once the package has left AdaptedDesign any delays with shipping are with the carrier. If your package is running late please reach out and we can file a claim with the carrier and set up a replacement order if it is lost.

Pricing

  • All proceeds from this shop go to my child's medical expenses
  • 3D printed items are priced at or below comparable products.
  • Prices that are shown on sale (where a previous price has a strikethrough) represent the previous price of the item on my now defunct Etsy shop. My costs are a bit lower on this platform and so as a result I am passing along some of those savings to my customers by lowering my prices.
  • Older versions of items are also discounted and available while supplies last.
  • Switch adapted items are priced well below other sellers. AdaptedDesign believes that access to switch-adapted devices is far more important than profit. Depending on the complexity of the device most switch-adapted items adapted by AdaptedDesign are only a few dollars more than the original item.

3D Printed Items

  • TLDR: These items are not indestructible so be gentle when using something that has been 3D printed.
  • These are not mass produced items and may come with imperfections inherent in the 3D printing process
  • If the 3D printed item is not used as intended it may not work properly or break
  • If you have any questions about what to expect with a 3D printed item please reach out using the contact form.
  • The 3D printed items sold by AdaptedDesign have been designed exclusively by AdaptedDesign and in many cases are the first and only item of its kind.
  • At this time I do not currently sell or distribute the 3D files used to print these items.
